Now, if you guys don't know, I'm a massive fan of SB!
Base game is my second favorite in the series behind FNaF 1!
And not long ago, I actually got a Xbox Series X from second market, and I was very excited to see how this version of the game will be!
But soon enough, joy turned into disappointment and confusion.
Why do I ask this is particular?
Well, it wasn't long that I figured out that it was running with the Series S technology in mind, so it takes longer to load in areas, the elevators take longer, the moving 2D animations around the Pizzaplex are a lot more choppier, and a lot more noticeable pausing during gameplay!
This heavily confused me and I thought that I broke the game because I did own the Series S version of it from my cousin's Series S, directed to my own account!
But after looking into it some more, nope, that's how the Series X runs!
Now, this would've disappointed me enough, but what makes this worse is that the first version on SB on Series X did run with the more powerful hardware in mind, and while it wasn't as good as PS5, it was still pretty decent in its own right and had much better load times compared to the current version!
And look, I really like Steel Wool and the games they've made, I really do, but come on guys, you should've done better than this.
Like, give people the better experience with the more expensive and better hardware.
You guys did it with PS5, (which I will say is the best version of SB when ranking it on its base standards and with no PC mods included) you should do it for Series X.
And technically with this discovery, the back of the physical case and I believe the Xbox online page for this game kind of lies now.
The game is not optimized for Series X, it's actually very unoptimized for it, and you don't get to have the ability to toggle the raytracing effects for reflections anymore, which mind you, was in version one for Xbox!
Granted, I don't care too much for it since I like better and more consistent framerate than reflections, but it still sucks for those who still wants to have that option!
To me, this just shouts laziness and this absolutely deserves to be fixed in a update (if the game gets another update that is for Xbox or for any platform for that matter).
Sorry about that rant, my peeps, but hopefully, you guys read through the whole thing and might even agree with me with it!
And once again, I love SB and like really like Steel Wool Studios and what they make, but I absolutely think this should be addressed and the team kind of needs to be called out for this one.
It's just so incredibly lazy to make the Series X version run with Series S technology, especially when the Series X had its own version beforehand that ran better.
