for the song: well, it's drag path structurally changed a bit. the "then the sun begins to rise. we made it through the darkest night. you found me" part was removed, which makes me a bit sad since it was such a great line to end the song and to give an alternate ending to the dema storyline. overall, still good, but not as good as the digital remains version
for the video: it was... good? in terms of stop-motion, but it felt like it had no connection with the song like AT ALL. tøp is free to do whatever they want because its their songs and i respect that like a good clikkie lmao (i just wanted to give my humble opinion or pov), but i would have kinda tied it to the dema storyline, since drag path is directly connected to city walls. so on terms of visuals, it's good. like, GET THE PERSON WHO DID THAT A RAISE, DAMMIT- but with no visible relationship to the lore. i get it, since it ended on city walls, but since drag path is like an "alternate ending" to breach, with tb finding clancy... yeah, it's not quite related.
spotify cover bc i can: it's the same as the digital remains version, with clancy basically aurafarming lmao, even tho clancy was like nowhere to be found in the vid lol.
summary: it was a good version and a good video, but it lacked connection to the storyline.
overall note: 8/10.
(this was my personal opinion on tøp's newest video. i respect their choices about their music videos and songs. i also respect that everyone might have a different opinion on this. but who am i to judge? all i know is that in Trench we aren't alone. stay alive frens)
