first off, this little goober is kiwi
kiwi has been having this problem ever since late afternoon yesterday [sunday 6/22] as far as i'm aware. I don't know what exactly happened because when this had begun I had just came home from work. but she was fine that morning, I know for sure because she came to greet me in my bed and she was fine at the food bowl when I fed her.
she's been having problems with
-rapid breathing, notice her body movements in the video
-gruff sounds that kinda sounds like snoring, happens when she breathes. you can hear this in the video but you may have to turn up your volume if you can't hear it over the fan running EDIT: the sound is stertor. i can confirm that for sure
-she has not eaten or drank water ever since, and only sits at the bowls for a little bit then walks away.
-she has decreased energy, slow movement (like her walking speed, it's about the slow speed of a cat walking when trying to silently approach something that the cat is hunting), and only has been trying to rest by laying down or momentarily loafing
-no interest in playing. showed her toys that normally she is EXTREMELY (and i mean like a child on a sugar rush) interested in playing with, and she looks at it like maybe she wants to but doesn't feel like it.
-she's also constipated, i figured that out late last night when she tried to use the litter box but couldn't. she made a few attempts to, was unsuccessful and loafed for a bit and then tried again, and eventually left after not being able to do anything
at first when I came home I thought she was overheated due to the rapid breathing, but she is not panting. I've seen her when she's been overheated before (our a/c went out on a hot day </3) and this isn't it.
then my brother thought she could have something stuck in her throat like food, and my father tried to do heimlich only to figure out that probably made her feel worse since she's constipated
once again i plan to take her to a vet today if I can. but I think some actual input from people rather than google's ai would help me too.
