Welp, it was a bad idea to have the timer run out so fast and remove checkpoints. The game is almost unbeatable right now if you don’t know exactly what to do and where to go at all times, and that kinda sucks. I really liked it though and I’d hate to see it go to waste so after the GBJAM voting is over I’ll make some changes to it, like:
Adding more time (or maybe completely removing the timer)
Fixing some bugs - the last door that you can open is off-screen )):
Adding checkpoints to each room in which you can breathe
I also have a great code for random room generation that I would love to implement on this, but I’m pretty busy working on Dreaming Sarah so I wouldn’t have the time… still, someday I’d like to try it out.
Thanks for everyone who played and voted for it! Even if you hated it because of its ARTIFICIAL DIFFICULTY, thank you for your time.
OH also, here are some hints:
Each time you get a key, a key block opens. I should’ve made it more apparent, I’ll fix that after gbjam.
Look carefully on the ground, you can clearly see where there are traps. The hidden spikes are the only trap that you can’t directly see, also.
You can use the shovel to push blocks, stop from sliding on ice and dig out some items later in the game.
There’s a secret room in the game that will give you infinite air; it’s right after you open the first door and go down 2 screens.
