Headcannon: Cassidy started out by talking through Crying Childs Fredbear plush to prank him for a lil bit of revenge on her killer.

Then she later realises that he's part of a broken family and then starts protecting him as best she can.

That'd also be why she wants revenge on William and torments him in UCN, to put him through just a teeny tiny bit more torture for what he put his kids through and for all the murder he did, since Cassidys motive for it is never properly explained.

I dunno, just my cannon, make of it what you will. :>
