History of the Entire FNAF PLUSHIES Series + The FNAF PLUSHIES Spinoff Series (2015-2022)

This is a little weird, but the FNAF PLUSHIES series could be the main reason why you might be following me, I think. And it's the reason behind my FNAF PLUSHIES games, minus the spinoffs, having the most followers and the most downloads. Then, it led to today. And despite the series' many flaws (most notably, the A.I, lack of INI Data {fixed in Vol.2} and Gameplay), this series is still the reason why I am still on Gamejolt. Now, even though you didn't ask for it, here is the history of the entire FNAF PLUSHIES Series + a little bit of the Spinoff Series.

A Little Test never made public (2015)

Back in 2015, I got Clickteam Free and I remembered making an MFA featuring a Daycare classroom, a beanbag and the plushie forms of Freddy, Bonnie and Chica sitting on it. Speaking of the MFA, I never finished it entirely and it's now lost since I can't find the file anywhere. Also, late 2015 was the time that I got Clickteam Standard. The next year, that daycare idea would later form into FNAF: Plushies.

The FNAF PLUSHIES Series was born (2016)

In 2016, I started working on a game called FNAF PLUSHIES, intended to be a joke game. But, in later years, that wasn't the case. And it worked a little bit like FNAF1, albeit with different mechanics, bad unscripted phone calls, terrible coding and left-to-be-desired graphics. The later FNAF PLUSHIES games in 2016 followed through with the terrible coding, bad unscripted phone calls and the left-to-be-desired graphics.

Back when I made the 1st game, I haven't used Blender yet to model. I wasn't the game developer I am today back then.

And I made some early concepts for FNAF PLUSHIES 4 which involved Fredbear's Daycare. It never came to be. But, in later years, this idea was picked up and it evolved into Five Nights at Freddy's: PLUSHIES 4 Origins (CHAPTER-2).

Anyway, back to the story. The first game was released on March 25th, 2016. And I had a terrible headache when it released, but the next day, I felt better and it was re-released, for some reason. But, I didn't release it on Gamejolt, yet. Same case for the others. Though, near the end of 2016 when I got my Gamejolt account, I did. Along with the MFAs, one of which was deleted for good and I didn't have a way to get it back.

Next, I made FNAF PLUSHIES 2 which had the FNAF2 office and more characters. I used Blender then, but for the Fredbear Plush and Springlock Bonnie. The latter of whom had a terrible model. I still can't make character models today and I hadn't learned how to animate properly.

FNAF PLUSHIES 2 came out on Mother's Day in 2016.

And then, came FNAF PLUSHIES 3, 4 and 5. I worked on all 3 of them, at the same time. FNAF PLUSHIES 3 came out in June of 2016, FNAF PLUSHIES 4 came out in September of 2016 and FNAF PLUSHIES 5? Well, V1 was cancelled, along with V2. And let's not forget about FNAF PLUSHIES 6 V1, which came out on August 18th, 2016. And the FNAF PLUSHIES 1 reboot which came a week earlier or later. The FNAF PLUSHIES 2 reboot, however, was scrapped. {But, it was going to have multiple panels with 1 cam in them. Talk about me being insane with that concept.}

In September of 2016, Five Nights at Zacju37's was made, but on MMF2.5 Developer trial edition since I wasn't able to access Clickteam Standard during that time. My modeling skills were still terrible then. When the trial ended, I then switched to Gamemaker: STUDIO and when 2017 came, I still had Gamemaker: STUDIO. And oh, by the way, if you haven't already, be sure to follow Five Nights at Zacju's, the reboot of Five Nights at Zacju37's.

The FNAF PLUSHIES Series returns to Clickteam (2017)

To give a TL;DR, Five Nights at Zacju37's (same with its sequel) was cancelled, along with the FNAF PLUSHIES Remastered Collection and FNAF PLUSHIES 6 V2 (I still have the files today for the latter game). When I was given back access to Clickteam in April of 2017, I made games anew again. And then, THE FNAF PLUSHIES REMASTERED COLLECTION was revived, but was shortly cancelled again. Same case goes for FNAF PLUSHIES 5 V3 and FNAF PLUSHIES 6 V3 (due to Clickteam memory issues).

Now, enough cancellations. So, let's move on. FNAF PLUSHIES 6 V4 came into development in May(?) of 2017 and I made a Gamejolt page for it. Here is what the old header and thumbnail looked like back then:

gamejolt_header.png
gamejolt_thumbnail.png

The game out on August 18th, 2017, to many, many bugs and glitches (they were all fixed in patches later on). And today, it's considered the lowest-rated game I ever made with a rating of 66.67% (at the time of making this devlog) and my only lesser effort from my 2017 game roster.

After that, FNAF PLUSHIES 1 V3 was made and when it came out on October 15th, 2017,(after a 4-week developing period) the release wasn't smooth due to a uploading hiccup. But it still came out on October 15th, regardless.

Then, came FNAF PLUSHIES 2 V4 that came out on November 23rd, 2017 (after a 7-week developing period). And after that, came FNAF PLUSHIES 3 V4 (A.K.A the most followed, viewed and downloaded game that I ever made) and it took longer to make. And it didn't come out by the time 2018 began. Also in 2017, I finally learned how to animate, and my coding was still terrible, but not as much.

3 FNAF PLUSHIES Games and an Extended Clickteam Break? Oh my! (2018)

I transferred to Clickteam Developer by the time 2018 began. Then, FNAF PLUSHIES 3 V4 came out in February 4th, 2018, and let's just say that 2018 was an... interesting year for me, to say the least. And after that, FNAF PLUSHIES 4 Origins (misspelled Orgins before someone corrected me) was revived. And it came out on March 25th, 2018.

And at the time, I had a Twitch account and OBS Studio to do livestreams of me making the game. My account is still up there, I think. But I no longer use it.

Then, after a few yes's, FNAF PLUSHIES 1 V4 was made, but it took less longer to make than FNAF PLUSHIES 4 Origins V3. Regardless, it came out on April 26th, 2018, and I preferred V4 over V1 since it's better than VERSIONS 1-3, in terms of Graphics and Coding. Speaking of my coding, it was starting to improve a little then.

FNAF PLUSHIES 5 V4 was going to be next, but Clickteam Developer stopped working in July of 2018 and that is when my 2nd Clickteam Break began, and I went straight back to GM:S. I still used GM:S, even as 2018 came to an end. There was going to be a graphics and phone calls update to FNAF PLUSHIES 2 V4 in the form of FNAF PLUSHIES 2 V4 Legacy Edition. But, when I tried to integrate the graphics into the FNAF PLUSHIES 2 V4 mfa, Clickteam crashed, the MFA got corrupted -and I had to delete it- and it resulted in the Legacy Edition's cancellation.

The Clickteam Break is over and the FNAF PLUSHIES series came back. + Birth of the FNAF PLUSHIES Spinoff Series (2019)

On March 25th, 2019, Clickteam Developer was working again, and I went back to coding. But my next FNAF PLUSHIES game -FNAF PLUSHIES 6 V5- didn't come out until September 18th, 2019.

Also, at the time, the Anniversary Update of FNAF PLUSHIES 1 V3 came out on October 15th, 2019. It came with a revamped Menu, redone phone calls, altered A.I (it might've been shifted around a little, but it was the same coding from 2017), the Springtrap plushie's jumpscare was changed and various other changes. Then, FNAF PLUSHIES 2 V4 was revived after the Legacy Edition's cancellation last year. It came out on November 22nd,2019 (a day early of its intended release date of November 23rd,2019. It won't be the last time I did that). Then, came the revival of FNAF PLUSHIES 3 V4. And just like the original, the revival wasn't finished until the next year.

Also, in 2019, I started work on a JOKE GAME, which would later be named ONE NIGHT WITH THE PLUSHIES (it would later be a part of the FNAF PLUSHIES spinoff series).

The Birth of FNAF PLUSHIES Vol.1 and 2 + Improvements are Coming your Way! (2020)

The FNAF PLUSHIES 3 V4 Revival came out on February 3rd,2020 (a day early of its intended release date of February 4th,2020). Then, I finally started developing FNAF PLUSHIES 5 V4 (which has been in development since 2018). And then, Quarantine came. But that didn't stop me from doing what I do best: Making Games. FNAF PLUSHIES 5 V4 came out on April 18th,2020 and it marked the end of making games where every character moves once per night, and it had Sparkman-styled scrolling. It also marked the end of VOL.1 of FNAF PLUSHIES.

Yep, that's right. I said, VOL.1 since I started to have my current FNAF PLUSHIES games be split into 2 Volumes. VOL.1 is for the first 5 games while VOL.2 is for the last 3 games.

Anyway, with VOL.1 over, VOL.2 began with me working on Five Nights at Freddy's: PLUSHIES 4 Origins (CHAPTER-2). After lots of bugs, glitches and frustration, FNAF PLUSHIES 4 Origins (CHAPTER-2) came out on July 15th,2020, with people saying that it's an improvement over the games I made up until Mid-2020, due to there being better scrolling, better A.I, actual INI Data and of course, difficulty in the A.I.

(One part of the original menu animation back when FNAF: PLUSHIES 4 Chapter-2 was in its Alpha and Demo phase)

And after that, FNAF PLUSHIES 7 (The Final Chapter) got into development and it felt like a curse was placed upon me since the game had tons of bugs and glitches per test, even on the release day. Speaking of which, it came out on November 26th, 2020.

And 2 FNAF PLUSHIES Spinoff games came out in December of 2020, One Night with The Plushies and The Fazbear Halloween Curse. After the end credits in FNAF PLUSHIES 7, I considering having THE FNAF PLUSHIES ULTIMATE CUSTOM NIGHT be my next FNAF PLUSHIES game, despite it being non-canon. And speaking of that game, what happened next may or may not shock you.

The Spinoff Series continues + The main FNAF PLUSHIES series ends (2021)

For THE FNAF PLUSHIES ULTIMATE CUSTOM NIGHT, it was going to be like ULTIMATE CUSTOM NIGHT, but in the FNAF PLUSHIES style. But, in September of 2021, I cancelled the game, thus why the FNAF PLUSHIES series ended. The series ended due to series backlash and coding complications. More info is in this devlog: "What to Expect from Me in Q4 2021 + The Fate of FNAF PLUSHIES". The only piece of FNAF PLUSHIES content to come out in 2021 is One Night with The Plushies 2. It came out on December 31st, 2021 (New Year's Eve).

The End of the Road for FNAF PLUSHIES (2022)

And that brings us to today. The Main FNAF PLUSHIES series is over, the FNAF PLUSHIES Spinoff Series will end this year and Five Nights at Zacju's is yet to be released in its entirely. I can't believe that 6 years fly by so fast. So, to the people who stuck around for the FNAF PLUSHIES series whether on Gamejolt or outside of Gamejolt, thanks for the memories.
