The Roman Empire collapsed in 1924. This is because of the Ottoman Empire's strong claim to the Roman Empire. This is owing to the Ottomans taking Constantinople, the Ottoman Sultans being linked to Roman aristocrats, and the Ottomans adopting a structure almost identical to the Roman system. People dislike this idea since the empire is a MUSLIM EMPIRE. The Ottoman Empire disintegrated in 1922, but the Ottoman Caliphate ended in 1924. And, to explain why this is so fascinating, the Roman Empire began in 27 BC. And if the Roman Empire truly fell in 1924, it would have lasted 1897 years.
