Honestly I’m perfectly fine with Silksong not winning GOTY, E33 is an equally amazing game and also has much broader mainstream appeal than Silksong so it makes sense, honestly the fact a game like Silksong even got NOMINATED is an outstanding triumph.


Besides, they won best action adventure and I’m perfectly happy with that

However, I DO agree that it gets tiring seeing one game sweep half the awards every year lol. This year it was E33, last year it was BG3, and before that it was Elden Ring. It kind of seems like whatever game wins GOTY will just automatically win like the next 5 categories lol, I’ve seen people suggest that there should be a limit on how many times a game can be nominated and I think that is something to consider.

All the same, massive congrats to Sandfall, absolutely fantastic work.
