Howdy y'all,
I know it's been a while since I last posted about one of my projects. Don't worry this won't interrupt other projects like Rebrand or others I'm working, been doing this comic on my free time and purely to branch out of FNaF for a change. So how did it all start???

Same way as it does to every person whom been in a fandom for most time in their life: Boredom
I was bored from the franchise we had at the time, Security Breach was an embarassing mediocre release to say the least and other games of the same genere (Mascot horror) were not inovating or were loosing the factor of fear in favor of the saturated colors and googly eyes.
Around that time I saw a video of a defunct game of the same genere, had a great idea behind it, but I was butchered, chopped into pieces and vomited by their directors and executives. It's name was Showdown Bandit.

You probably know this game was made by the "same people" who made BATIM and Dark Revival. But instead of going with the basic monsters and or demons as antagonists. They went with a small puppet (Probably possesed by someone from the show) playing the part through the eyes of the Bandit puppet while traversing the decrepit sets of familiar and uncanny faces.
But due to the mismanage of said directors the game hit the bucket faster then their merch production line hit the stores.
Years went by and this game always have been on the back of my head, until 2024 came around. I was in a class in college and I asked my teacher if a wild west themed project could work , my teacher said the following quote: "Any idea can only be turned into a well-made project when its foundation is forged by genuine interest and passion, rather than a focus on monetary gain."
The light bulb had turned on and my brain was storming ideas
Right then and there I begun sketching ideas, characters, locations, mysteries, adventures. The more I drew the further from, mascot horror it was becoming, no more the same repetitive cheap jumpscares or monsters to be "afraid" about.
By the end of the day I had the base line idea for Cog Valley, it had the essense of Showdown Bandit but with sci-fi sprinkled into it. Then I had to decide on which midia it should be
It couldn't be a game as I wouldn't be able to do something of that size on my own and I wanted this project to be a breather between fangame developements. Animation was also out of the picture since it has the same issues as before.
So I choose comic, webcomic to be precise. I could write, draw and publish it myself, no extra people required and could be my quiet and relaxing hobby.

By the time i'm writing this I have all character bios, locations, worldbuilding and draft of the issues all written out. As well as the full Issue #1 fully written. I also have been designing the characters turnarounds: Have our Sheriff Protagonist as an example

That was a long rant post, I know this might not be for everyone, and I doubt a lot of people will read till the end but this project is kind of my way of staying sane while in a fandom full of mascots possesed by ghost children or AI.
I'll keep y'all updated on progress for Cog Valley and Fazbear Rebrand
