How do you feel about LGBTQ+ representation in games?

I'm always quite conflicted when it comes to this. But with all the hate The last of us 2 has got in recent times it got me wondering on how others see inclusivity on anything other than heterosexual or binary in games. So I thought it would be interesting to share our experiences, lets hear the first time you were able to see something of yourself in a game or were able to do what you wanted. I'll get us started...

Mine was an old classic. It was the original Sims on pc, I had started playing my dads old copy around the time The Sims 3 was released. While sexuality was still something I was still coming to terms with I had started to play a little 'reckless', except instead of deleting the pool later I dared to put two men in the same family and move them in. And to be honest, that was that. They could do everything straight sims could do but marry (unthought of at the time by me). But other than that they lived, they played, they could adopt a kid, and they we're just the same as any other family on there.

This was of great interest to little ol me at the time as it reconciled life as a gay man with everyday life, when until then they had seemed totally incompatible. Sure there are other games that scratch the surface of LGBTQ representation, but they all ring hollow by comparison to playing a game like the sims.

Tall walls are all modeled and intergrated into the engine and work seamlessly with the previous two wall styles. actual wall skins for this set are incoming. A new test build featuring these changes will follow up soon.

I'm currently working on a new game with a team of people. Here's a mannequin being assaulted for test purposes. Gotta do what you gotta do for your damage systems.

I can't stop drawing Akumu and Hunter they're just so JGKHFDKJGH

VERY early test of very basic systems in my new project. Do your work, keep the lights on, and everything will be fine. I really want to gush about some of the things not seen here, but will save that until they can be shown off. FnafKit who?

Forgot to share this-

It's a boy!

This fella has been in my gallery since yesterday

Light menu is still undergoing it's refit, some behind the scenes code changes making it easier to edit multiple lights. A light will also toggle on/off depending on its intensity. So custom events don't need to be loaded with two different commands.

Wall height is being adjusted to accommodate things such as stages and lighting while also giving animatronics more breathing space.

Hi everyone, I wanted to put my project back out there after taking some time off. Fnafkit is a game about creating custom fnaf games with no need for programming. I'm also looking for anyone interested in helping out! https://gamejolt.com/games/TKFNAF/444860
