WARNING / DISCLAIMER:
The following article is over-exaggerated. Most opinions shared arenโt accurate to my actual thoughts and feelings. I made article just for fun and it is NOT meant to disrespect Scratch itself or anybody else.
As of now, Scratch is doing fine statistically.
This article is based off of the Triggered You series by Nathaniel Bandy. You can see cool videos here on his YouTube channel: Nathaniel Bandy - YouTube.

Why does Scratch still has 2.0 pages? Itโs been 3 years since 3.0 came out and some pages still has 2.0 pages while 2.0 mainly came out in 2013. This basically makes Scratch less fun to use now that we're in 2022. What, does the Scratch Team like old-school stuff now? Give it a break, already! ๐
But hey, at least they updated the studio to 3.0! But thatโs still isnโt enough. I mean, Scratch is very limiting, but the Scratch Team purposely added EVEN MORE limits on the studio feature. ๐ Now only the studio hosts can be able to change the title, the description, and the thumbnails. The studio managers canโt do that anymore. And whatโs the point of being a studio manager if all you get is just the ability to remove projects, promote new โmanagersโ and all of that.
Scratch 2.0, man. OMG. ๐ซ

So, we only have the home page, the messages page, and project page, the editor, and the studio page in 3.0 but nothing else? What kind of sense does that make?
There have been a lot of complaints about 3.0 being ugly and whatnot. ๐ซฅ Like the editor is being mirrored and stuff, but Iโm not sure why people still like the 2.0 editor since that uses flash player and is much less colorful.
When a Scratcher wanted to start a flame war for no particular reason. ๐ซฅ
The only features stuff you get to see is projects and studios. There should be a separate project/studio section like featured games, art, and music, but NOOOO, they only feature super light-hearted cheap, lame old boring projects.
Iโm sorry, but nobody is gonna go out of their way to download a freaking app so they can see how cool it is. A person who is addicted to Scratch will most likely download this. ๐ฅฑ
So, that adds up to 3 Scratch apps in total, including the older versions. ๐๐ช ๐๐ ๐.
The Scratch moderation was so bad that they purposely announced new limits. And guess what? Since the studio update came out, they added 4 NEW LIMITS! Yes, 4! They did it because they think that managers editing the studio, adding a huge amount of managers, and โstudio spamโ is โabusingโ the studio's success. Nice and limited and peaceful. Itโs the Scratch Team way.
I like the way they are slowly improving Scratch, but still, it isn't enough because right now, as Scratch continues to grow, the quality will go lower and LOWER in the future. ๐ข
Some of these Scratch Team members arenโt even real team members. Some of them have the default Scratch cat profile and some were joined very recently.

Scratch Team, you really need to work on your team applications. ๐
OH, and now that we're on the topic, for some reason, the Scratch Team thinks it's more appropriate to talk about RACISM on their website than FNAF. ๐ This is very weird since Black Lives Matter is a real-life situation while FNAF is just a fictional horror game that has absolutely nothing to do with reality. Plus, your website is supposed to be full of silly, light-hearted fun stuff? This can scare off some people unless they are smart enough to know what's right and wrong.
Scratch should've improve their search system. You can only see stuff as "trending" and "popular", which will be hard or almost impossible for new people to get discovered. They should add new filters like "Old to new" or "New to old".
Why can't you add a few more character limits on these sections on your profile? This pretty much makes your profile not so interested if it has way too little detail. Get Scratch Addons! They have upgraded the limit so you can type more into it!
Sometimes it's so sad to see that some users on Scratch post the EXACT same content as you do that is overrated while you are still underrated. People needed empathy. ๐
Well, that's just an idiot move. ๐ค There is actually a browser extension policy on Scratch. And any kind of comment or post that talks about a browser extension get removed by the Scratch Team. Why can't you allow advertisements on SPECIFIC extensions like Scratch Addons? Now, that is what a lot of websites do on the internet and if children were taught or supervised enough on the internet, they should know how to NOT share their private information to anymore but for extensions, they mostly just change the look, behavior, and all of that! But OK, sure, some extensions are malicious, but you shouldn't block ALL of them. But wait, we all remember something, it's the Scratch Team, they already knew how safe Scratch Addons is, they just don't care and don't trust anyone whatsoever and still disallow advertisements.
In Scratch 2.0, project pages have tags for the project to get more views on and a remix tree to see the beautiful tree ๐, but both got completely removed on 3.0. So, Scratch basically removed the user's ability to get more views on their projects.
And according to Scratch Wiki, the remix tree button was removed due to the lack of use, which makes a little more sense. ๐
Oh, wait, hold on, the remix tree still exist today? ๐ฏ All you have to do is to add "/remixtree" at the end of the project URL. ๐
But again, it's STILL in Scratch 2.0 mode.
Most of the time, Scratch doesn't unblock your network even after sending them an appeal.
And also, if you send an email saying that you are sorry, it will take MONTHS for them to respond, and sometimes they don't.
You know what I just realized? The Scratch Team actually disrespects banned users. ๐ฌ You sent them an apology letter saying you are very sorry, you will do better in the future, and even saying "Happy New Year", they still don't care and rejects your apology. So, once you are parentally banned, you are done. ๐
I know that Scratch is supposed to be fun, but the terrible moderation just ruins the whole thing. Half of the reputation of Scratch is already ruined due to the terrible moderation and the Scratch Team's lack of empathy for other people. Today, they are encouraging people to give donations to them, but I don't think they deserve any.
OMG...that's a lot of writing. ๐ช
Look, if you want to get untriggered, then stay on GameJolt. The moderation here is SO MUCH better than Scratch. GameJolt accepts your apologies and they have MUCH more empathy. The community here is very nice.
If you feel like Scratch is low-quality and wish you can make higher-quality games, then look no further than TurboWarp. TurboWarp is basically an upgraded version of Scratch due to lots of advanced features and developer tools.
Remember what everyone says: Don't give up. It's simple as that!
So, have a great summer everyone! ๐
