Hello Gamerz!

This last weekend as been CRAZY productive and I’ve managed to finish a LOT of work!

Since the last devlog, I’ve managed to create some new content to the game, despite of all the personal and working drama I’ve been through the last weeks, but this last weekend I had a awesome blast productivity and the game is almost done.

So, without further due, this are the features done in the last weeks (most of the them in the past few days):

  • 2 New Enemies

  • Ship upgrade system between levels 1-7 and 2-1

  • Ship upgrade Menu between levels 1-7 and 2-1

  • 2 New ship upgrades: Ship Satellite and Sideshot

  • New player ship - Bomber
(double shot as main fire and Mega Bomb as special attack)

  • Player stats showing in Game Over and Winning screens.

  • Winning screen redone (art and data)

  • Game Over screen redone (art and data)

  • Instructions screen redone (art)

  • All 14 levels are now unlocked.

  • Enemy tracking missiles redone (art)

  • Player tracking redone (mechanics)

  • Random int variables were replaced by floats (it affects al spawns and every enemy fire mechanics)

So, this is almost all the stuff I’ve done in the last weeks. I’ve most likely forgot to mention a thing or two, but this is the definitely the most important part.

There is no new release for now, but I’m hoping to get the BETA published pretty soon (like today or in a couple of days).

The must do list for beta is:

  • Final Boss (finish art and mechanics)

  • 2 new songs for levels 2-X and select upgrade scene

  • Introduce new sounds for enemies

  • Add extra credits (for the content added) in credits scene

So there are 3 ships, but which is the easiest to play? What do I recommend for new players and beginners in the gender?

As it is right now, the Fighter ship should be the obvious choice for beginners, it’s a perfect combination of fire power, speed and size.
The special attack is almost defensive, but it’s a good ship to use if you just started playing the game.

The, there’s the Scout ship. With the skill I’ve developed playing this game, for me this is the easiest ship to play is the Scout, but, I don’t recommend it for the first play, because of it’s initial speed being too fast.
It has the least firepower of all ships, but its special attack turns the ship invisible (invulnerable) for 6 seconds, as much as 3 times in a row (3 ammo). If you use its special attack wisely, it’s a lot of fun!

The Bomber is the ship which delivers the greatest punch! It’s description says “slow speed” but it has the same initial speed as the Fighter, although the upgrades only add 2 points of speed instead of the Fighter’s 3.
This is a ship that I can only recommend for non-beginners in this game, mostly because of its size.
But once you manage to control it, the fire power and the special weapon are amazingly effective against enemies and bosses.

Keep in mind that BETA will be very important for testing the game mechanics, which will result in minor adjustments, mostly in the difficulty balance. Since there are three available ships, with very distinctive features, the levels must be adjusted in a way that fits all three ships.

This is the last early access devlog, so next time I post one, it will be talking about the release 1.x.x!

Enjoy playing and have fun!!

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
