Hey,

So i just made a super quick demo just to get a feel of IndieLife's gameplay so far (details in article). Please note that this is still early development so things are likely to change. Feedback welcomed :)

Hey all,

I thought I’d share what I’ve got working so far.

So the game is based around trying to increase your skills and make games in your free time as well as making enough money to pay rent. When you start of you have a job that takes up 10 hours of your free time each day and pays just about enough to pay rent. That leaves you with 6 hours to increase your skills.

Currently I’ve only implemented a way to increase your basic programming, audio and graphics skills by reading. These skills will eventually be used to get better jobs and to improve your games which will help you to make more money.

You can see your resume with your skills on it when you interact with the papers on the coffee table, it will also give you a list of all the jobs available with the skills you need for them. Naturally the higher the skills the better the job you can get.

Apart from some of the job and skill mechanics I also implemented the HUD with relevant details and a sleeping system which updates the HUD to a new day.

I hope you guys like what I’ve done so far, if not please let me know so I can re think some ideas :)

Hey, Currently working on animating the main character, lets call him jek for now xD. My first attempt at game art!! May take a while!

Hey all. I'm working on the 'creating/publishing game mechanics'. I've been busy this weekend so haven't made much progress, but I should get it done next week. Just a screenshot of the UI I'm working on above.

Hey, So I started the game last weekend and I got some features done already such as sleeping, learning basic skills and some UI etc. I'm using placeholder art atm that is probably better than my own. I'll be working on replacing it all next.

hey all, hope you're all g. I'm currently working on a way to unlock topics that you can use to create games. Is there any features that you guys would like too see in this type of game?

Hey all, So i made some progress on the character art, (might have to re-do parts of it). Still not sure if doing my own game art is a good idea xD.

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

Some Shadow boss fight gameplay 👾

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
