An accurate simulation of heat is one of Vitality’s newest additions. Working off of preexisting foundations already in place by our water shader/simulation, we have been able to implement this simulation with little-to-no negative performance impact.
How It Works
Heat propagates out from heat sources traveling at different rates between air and solids. In enclosed spaces, heat will attempt to reach equilibrium between heat produced and heat dissipated. Because heat can travel through solids, enclosed spaces are not perfectly insulated and will eventually “cool down” if there are no longer any active heat sources present.
