Q: Why and where did you get the name "CaraPrincess" and "Akira Akagi Games"?:
A: I used to like the Undertale character Chara, so when I started my career as a game dev, I picked the name "Cara" because the name reads the same as Chara, and I added the suffix "Princess" to the name due to I believe myself to be Chara's incarnation in the real world, my headcanon of Chara being a female, and the fact that Chara used to be in the Dreemurr royal family, thus making them ("her" in my opinion) a princess.
For the name "Akira Akagi", actually I watched a lot of anime and saw that many characters have the surname "Akagi", but with different kanji for each character with that surname. I picked the writing that reads "赤木", means "red tree", and red is one of my favorite theme colors (due to I once liked Chara). "Akira" is the kanji reading of the hanzi character that I believe to form part of my actual name, "明". I once thought that the surname "Akagi" in my writing is unique, but after I found out that a character from Neon Genesis Evangelion shares the same surname and its way of writing in kanji, and also have the name Ritsuko similar to one of my OCs (Ritsuko Shinko is the name of an OC of mine), the name also more strongly support the fact that I'm an anime fan. The part "Games" meant to give my indie circle an impression that it is a group of numerous people working together as a team (developing games), but in fact it is just only me (like how ZUN named his indie circle Team Shanghai Alice).
Q: Where did you get up with the idea of angel characters in your game project?
A: Initially I didn't have that idea, but after I heard a metal remix of the Touhou song "Now, Until the Moment You Die", I decided to incorporate that idea due to the MV's artwork made me feels like I have commited a lot of sins in the past (my game used to focus mainly on intense cartoony blood and gore and moderate violence due to I used to like Chara). Also, since only very few anime-styled video games feature an angel (or a group of angels) who is / are designed to look like bishoujo anime characters, so I really appreciate the idea of adding angel characters in my video game project, and I designed them to look like bishoujo characters, true to the anime style I like: The bishoujo style.
Q: What do you use in making your games?
A: I mainly use RPG Maker MV to create my games. For the music, I uses LMMS to create (almost) everything in my games: From BGM to SFX. However recently I have asked my friends to do most of the music part for me, leaving my use of LMMS for BGM for MIDI cover tracks only. For the graphics, I uses a variety of graphics softwares for that. For large sprites and images, I use Krita. For smaller images and sprites, I use Piskel and GraphicsGale (in the future I would like to upgrade to Aseprite if I want to :-)).
Q: Why do you interested in Christian motifs?
A: Don't ask. Even though I'm an atheist, I still have interest in other religions, but particularly, I have the most interest in Christianity.
Anyway, that's the answers of most of the important questions regarding me! If you have any more questions about me, just leave me a comment below, and I will answer some of them!
Images above: Left: Moi current header, and personally my favourite one. (Background from a Walfas pack by WaveSine, and quote by me); Right: Moi previous header (background also by WaveSine) (plus, I was once mistaken as "Hitler" because of the pose in that header, but promise me, the pose in that header does not have any fascist / Nazi connotations, and personally I think that pose is cool).
Sorry, no music for this FAQ revision, because recently somehow my retro-styled instrumentation as well as my limited selection of songs that I want to cover impedes my creativity and the quality of my cover tracks. Apologies for me, lads (but you can spend about 15 minutes listen to the track I placed on the top of my list of YouTube music! It's rad!).
