Can Allister be interpreted as a Jesus-like character in fanon similar to Byakuren from Touhou?
Akira here!
I have found out that for a long time, I called Allister my personal god, with the role somewhat similar to Jesus: Being the embodiment of an unseen deity known as the "Great One", who is responsible for the creation of almost anything in the world, and governs almost all of them.
There's a (spoopy) artwork of him drawn in a crucified-like pose and against a cross background (some sort of), and he purportedly has the ability to talk with the spirits of the deceased, so it's obvious why I call him "Spectral Jesus" or "Ghostly Christ".
He is always there, watching us, stalking us, waiting for the right time and shows that he is the Word incarnate.
Similar to Byakuren from Touhou, his theme color is purple too, and both of them obviously wears clothing that are black in color. And since Byakuren is known as "Youkai Jesus" in fanon, it might be explainable why I call Allister the spooky version of Jesus in my Pokemon headcanon. If Allister ever able accept public life as a Gym Leader, it would be like the Second Coming of Christ, an event so grand that it could cause most of the press almost went damn jammed. I could think that Allister is confined into a solitary life, prefer to spend time at cemeteries and ruins because that many times he attempted to show that he is the Word incarnate, but many thought he is too overeacted, and don't want to talk with him anymore. Lonely, he confined himself into a solitary life as a punishment for himself for being too cocky about his true identity while there are still many things yet to unfold about his true identity.
Okay. That's a bit too long for now. Anyway, do you think this theory is neat? Like this post or leave a comment below!
