We've just reached 250 Twitter followers (are you following us yet? 😉), and we wanted to celebrate by releasing a new build of Runaway! Anyone who's already played before knows it's been awhile since we've done this, so we've got some cool new features to enjoy:

• A Splatoon-inspired game mode called Paint Race: cover the map in the most paint to win!
• Added controller vibration during gameplay
• Added parallax city background and indoors backgrounds in different levels
• Overhauled menu aesthetic

We've also made a lot of changes to how things are handled on the backend. Controller-inputs, player movement, and UIs, so really everything has been reworked with this update. This should make it much easier to continue working as the project gets bigger.

Please let us know what you think of these changes! When you're done playing, we'd love for you to fill out a survey and join our Discord to be a part of the growing Burning Sky community! Lastly, follow us on Twitter and Instagram or sign up for our mailing list for more updates and sneak peeks at new features!

From here, our next plan is to continue improving the player controller, and we have a couple of cool ideas for that. Then we'll get to revamping the level and player artwork and start building a full story campaign!

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
