Recently we have recovered footage of the game that reveals lots of how the game played out! Recovered by AmazingGaming2000, he has brought us a partly found video of his silent gameplay of YOF. He said that he deleted it a year ago so that he can have a fresh restart for his channel. He told us that he had no idea that the game was deleted and that we are currently on the hunt to recover the game. Lucky for him, he had a clip of his now lost full playthrough of YOF sitting in his unorganized folder full of stuff for his videos. He also told us that the clip you are seeing right now was meant for a 2022 full year recap video where he showed clips of his best playthroughs of games he has played. But he never got through with it because of personal stuff happening around that time.
What can we gather from this gameplay?
There are a lot of things to talk about in regards of the game.
Lots of traits used in most scratch fangames like:
Generic Scrolling
Using a built in scratch sound for flipping the camera (Edited to make it sound deeper)
Unnecessary addition of a loading screen (The only thing that needs to load in a scratch game is all of the stuff included in the game as seen when you load up any scratch project)
Generic fonts for showing time
Some spites use vector art
Phone Guys voice sounds rough (Which he claimed was hard to understand, and we should point out that it was allegedly voiced by the creators Father)
But besides the generic scratch traits used in YOF, there were lots of unique traits used in the game that AmazingGaming2000 pointed out along with other Scratch users during its short life span. Note that they are mostly things we have pointed out in our first post about the hunt for this game. These include:
Graphics being 3D renders (Though as we have stated, show their age now)
New mechanics like hiding under the desk, flashing your light on the vents in the office, and even going behind to check on the outside of the building (Though it's claimed that its useless on the first night)
Names of the characters being renamed like Mason being renamed to Marx, and Golden Mason being renamed to Yellow Marx. Which the creator allegedly claimed was for personal preference
Zap button only being used on the right vent, as the left vent does not have one for gameplay reasons
Yellow Marx's mechanic has you hiding under the desk, which the vent light mechanic plays in for you to see if he is about to attack
Inclusion of an extra night. Which makes a Ghost Animatronic and Prototype Marx active. Which makes the behind door mechanic come into play.
Minigames after each night, with extra night's minigame having you finish up the Ghost Animatronic
Rewritten idea that the animatronics are gonna be used for a unlicensed fun zone mascot.
Many story changes, though some traits from the original version are still used
As of right now this is the only surviving gameplay of YOF, we still have yet to recover lots of new things! Also sorry for not posting anything in a while. We just had no new updates on the search, and searching for new info on the game is very difficult because of the obscurity of it.
We hope that we can recover more of the game because this is a huge discovery! This is where I'm gonna end this post, so bye everyone!
