First of all, how do you like the drawing? Because I’m very proud of it!
Well, unfortunately this is the day we all have been looking forward to for a long time. I hope that most of you got notified earlier and isn’t that big of a disappointment.
Please be aware that I am the only one working on this project, and that all hobbyist game developers (at this moment I’m referring to FNAF fan game creators) who create games just for fun whether it’s to entertain people, or just for practicing in some domains, we are still human mortals living a life as anyone else!
Of course sometimes things occur such as studies, hard times, lack of motivation, everyone can go through them, yes, even a game developer.
The real issue that I’m facing with Pyro-Illusion right now is not only studies and motivation. It’s a bit deeper: I started working on the game solely for myself, nothing more, just to get glimpse of what game development is like.
Now that more than 1,5 million (wow) people about my game, I started feeling as if I was working for others, not myself. This is probably where my lack of motivation comes from.
I don’t want to sound alarming though, I can guarantee you guys that you’ll get something in the end! Or from my perspective, I will prove myself that I’m very capable of making and publishing something big.
My future plans for this summer, once I am done with the exams (these ones will be crucial) and have some solid results concerning Dragonrama, I will cut ties with the community, and go back and work as I used to about 2 years ago (that’s a long time), as I loved to, get productive and motivated.
I’m looking forward to it… ;)
If you have any questions, please be sure to ask!
