I apologize

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted a textual comment on the project, but I have to say that I’m sorry it is taking so long.
New followers of Five Nights in the Future may not understand quite as well, but the old ones who have been following since the first few weeks within releasing the hat teaser and who have seen the four character teasers that I’ve deleted and since revamped in the latest image will know.

Creating a game is difficult, especially when you’re alone in doing so, especially when it’s your first time working with a 3D modelling and animation program and a game development tool, and especially when it’s your first time making a game at all. It’s been quite a bumpy road with barely a sight of any civilization for months. I am trying hard to get this game out to you all in a timely fashion, but I have make sure all of you who are waiting so patiently understand.

When I first started working on the game, it was my first time creating anything in the 3D tools I use today, and it took me quite a while longer to master any of them. Initially, I set my sights on releasing the game near the end of the summer of 2015, but of course you all know that never came to pass.

But I am happy it never came out then; I created the story and gameplay for my game just after the first teaser for Fnaf 4, and at the time, my game would have been a re-skinned Five Nights at Freddys. Looking at it now though, I am truly happy at what I have planned; it is definitely larger than I ever intended it to be.

It’s funny how so many good fangames have came and gone who have taken only several months for development to complete, while mine is taking over two years.

The reason for that is time. Time is the most important asset a creator can have, and some barely have any of it. School and lack of knowledge made it difficult for me to get out any content at an acceptable rate, and now I am regretting some of my decisions made in the past.

The game is not cancelled, and if you’re wondering I did get inspiration for this message from Scott Cawthon’s own post in reddit a day ago, but I didn’t intend to take a break. No, I’ve had too many breaks already.

Right now, my schedule is a fluster. I have work four days a week, (My first job), and depending on which of the two shifts I have, I can either have a productive day, or not such a one. Morning shifts are the ones that kill my time, since I have to arrive at 10:30 and leave at 5:00. Too early to make a great amount of progress, and at the time I’m arriving home, I have to also clean up dinner from my family, so that means I get to work at 7:00 PM.
The night shift is much more generous, from 5:00-10:00, though it means I have to get all my work done before my the work that earns me money.

Aside from that, the game has been continuously building upon itself, the planning is at a stage that is very large for a first game, but I’m already too much invested into the story to quit for that reason alone.

I hope you can understand why it’s been hard for me to get stuff done, but I need you to understand that it’s also partially my fault. I’m an inconsistent worker, and depending on what happens during the day I can get a character model complete or just take a look at it.

Please be patient, I know you’ve all done an incredible job of it so far, I just hope that I won’t fail you.
