Greetings Randy Fans, this is Nocturna.
Yes, we hear you! I could probably count how many comments we've received regarding this issue whether it's the game crashing, lagging, not loading, or one of the many ridiculous issues I've heard because of this. After a full day of trying to look into it, we have been unable to come up with a conclusive solution to fix this. The truth is, we believe these issues are mainly caused by the new Tunnels we've spent almost an entire year cooking up.
2.0's tunnel graphics are built entirely on multiple large frames of animation that are coded in a smart way to make the game look like it's fully 3D-free roam. This is a completely new thing to be featured in a FNaF game! Despite how large it is, we worked very hard to make sure it remained as optimized as it could be, which unfortunately didn't seem to do much in the end. Tunnels regardless are very resource intensive when it comes to the machine it is being played on, causing the issues I mentioned earlier. So far we've noticed it only really seems to be an issue on integrated graphics, leaving Radeon and Nvidia seemingly stable.
When testing the game, these issues were not present and there was no way we could've known about this beforehand. Again, we've looked into it and there is really no solution at the current moment. Some of you have suggested re-adding fast mode from 1.0, however, that is completely impossible to do with the new tunnels, as fast mode removes perspective and other effects that tunnels rely on to work properly.
I am deeply sorry to all who are disappointed by this, we have been trying very hard to overcome this issue but I am not able to make any promises we will be able to. It's just the way the cookie crumbles, I guess.
Anyway, now that this game is said and done with on my part, I am gonna go back to marveling at the greatness of cinematography and directing that is the Weezer - El Scorcho music video. Bye bye!
