I didn't want to say anything, but I can see that this is getting worse and causing even more of a stir than when the FNAF 2 movie came out, so

Here's my honest opinion on the situation:

You know what bugs me the most about this? With the FNAF 2 movie, I saw comments like: “It’s just fan service; that doesn’t make it good. A movie can’t stand on references alone, that doesn’t make it a good movie.”

And they’re right, BUT now I see those same people saying that Mario Galaxy is good because of the references, cameos, etc., with arguments like “it’s the Mario game you were expecting,” “the critics are just bitter,” “it’s really fun and has good fan service.” “it's for kids”

AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT THING ABOUT “having fan service doesn’t make it a good movie”?

Seriously, people are SO hypocritical.

The FNAF 2 movie had good fan service and was fun; Even part of me liked the movie, Does that make it a good movie?

NO, IT’S TERRIBLE Because his story is really bad

I always say this and I’ll say it again: for a movie to work well, it has to have a well-crafted story, and saying “it’s for kids” is kind of insulting because you’re basically saying that kids deserve low-quality stuff

In the past, we had great kids’ movies with well-crafted stories, like Kung Fu Panda 2, Shrek 2, Into the Spider-Verse, The Lego Movie, etc.

I’m not saying they have to have a deep plot either.

And you don’t always need a deep story for a movie to work, like Wallace & Gromit or even other videogame movies that did the same thing, like Sonic 1 and Angry Birds 2

I haven’t seen the movie yet, so I can’t say whether it’s good or not from my perspective, but I always find it silly that there’s such a drama with the critics, they might be wrong, but so can the audience’s opinion!!

Besides, the Sonic movies have already proven that it’s possible to make a video game movie that pleases both critics and audiences with a well made story that gets better with each new installment.

Sure, there are people who just want to watch a movie to have fun, and that’s all, (I’m one of them), but we also have to understand that there are people who want to see a good movie, Especially those who love cinema. whether they criticize a product because they want the next one to be better or simply so the studio doesn’t repeat the same mistakes, there’s nothing wrong with pointing that out. It’s fine if you still liked it and enjoyed it, but don’t go against people who don’t share your opinion. Why not view “professional” critics as people who are just giving their opinion and that’s it?

I wish this kind of drama would stop happening, but obviously it’s going to keep happening because Twitter is the most toxic place on the internet, and I’m sure this whole situation will repeat itself when FNAF 3 MOVIE comes out, inevitably
