My idea for this honey soul mode is simple.
First hit is absorbed by honey completely, 2nd one does double the damage.
(It might sound very hard but The Hive isn't an early sub-area. I think by far you should have enough of equipment or HP to not have TOO much trouble.)
It would be some sort of a cycle.
Honey would replenish over time.
You get hit, next hit doesn't damage you.
So when you are vulnerable if you take hit by something that deals 2 damage, you'll receive 4 damage.
Take hit from something that deals 3 damage, you'll receive 6 damage.
