I was hoping since the fnaf movie was darker than security breach, and even ruin in my opinion that HW2 would also be dark, but I guess steel wool didn’t make the fnaf movie of course.
I was hoping for a scarier experience/similar atmosphere as HW1 (that atmosphere is gone) it appears they tried to make it “kid friendly”.
For example I hoped they’d make super lame characters like Roxy scary in this game, but all we’ve been given are these scenes that look like makeup simulator 2016 or something.
I like seeing old stuff in these games for nostalgia (that what made help wanted good) but I havnt liked any new stuff since (maybe) the plush babies who I didn’t like, but could stand. I honestly wish instead of going further into the timeline we’d just go back in time instead. I hope we don’t have to play as a child protagonist for hw2. Yes, I think it works out from a lore standpoint, but it makes the game kinda lackluster in my opinion. I miss the simpler times where you closed doors, sealed vents, just tried not to die, and it was just a game. Not a “kids game” or an “adult” game just a game we could enjoy without being frustrated. Hopefully steel wool turns back to the older fans of the franchise. In summary I think part of the problem is because steel wool. While I respect them greatly has better marketing skills than Scott which isn’t a good thing as steel wool will market to those who will spend the most on the game: Kids with their parents credit cards. Scott made it for the longtime fans especially in mind. Steel wool still has passion, but I don’t really like where they’re going with the franchise, however, I shouldn’t criticize until I see the results
