Sonic: The Second Round (Formerly Round2.exe)

I finally found a way to fix the slowdowns in Last Chance Act 0.

Also, here are the full pics of Sonic and his doppelganger from the intro scene (the I AM GOD part), including their super forms and one from bloopers.


Except for occasional bug fixes, I now declare this project finished.

Also, some trivia:

  • We had some difficulties to find a good second form for Fake Sonic. We didn't want to make those lovecraftian forms, or full of eyes and teeth everywhere. Sometimes simple is better.

  • This incarnation of Fake Sonic is neither an entity, nor a demon. It is some kind of organic clone of the Blue Blur, created by using his DNA and the negative energies of the Chaos Emeralds.

  • His name is not Zalgo, X, Exetior, Exeller or anything related. He doesn't even have a name, being refereed as "???" in his dialogues. Just Fake Sonic, or Sonic's doppelganger, or Pink-Eyed Faker (referencing the eye inflammation known as pink-eye, or conjunctivitis).

  • There is no need to make a Round3.exe or a Third Round, since in this story, the faker is gone FOREVER at the end. It is the Second Round, but also the FINAL round. If I ever make a sequel, it will be a normal Sonic game. Something like "Sonic - After the Nightmare".

  • Despite looking like Sonic, the faker has some differences. Aside from the eyes, his quills are larger, his body is slimmer and his ears are shaped like horns.

  • "This game is not scary!" - It's not supposed to be.

This update came after "Version 6.6.6". Number 7 has a meaning of "finished work". This version also celebrates its 10th anniversary. Updates in the article below.

I guess we can say I ordered a figure of Sonic as he's seen in The Second Round, since he's mostly angry in this game...

This guy finally has a name, Eryon. A name that defines his nature of an experiment.

It's a parallel with Dr. Gerald and Shadow. Except that Ivo's creation went out of control and his grandpa's later became Sonic's ally.

"Light versus darkness. Good versus evil. Positive energy versus negative energy.

As the final battle approaches, only one shall survive...

...The Second Round!"

The Showdown

Honestly, how low can someone go to steal arts from my game and make such lousy edits out of it? If you want to make stuff, do it with your own effort — DON’T STEAL OTHER PEOPLE’S WORK.

Some people pointed out that Sonic’s Spin Dash was very slow. Good news — I'm working on a way to make it faster.

And yes. Green Hill is looking a lot more like Swamp Hill right now.
