I found an old game I had made a few years agoa and loaded it up in the newest version of unity. Surprisingly my janky trigger based code still works! I played the game for a bit to see if it was still any good and I had fun even with the limited mechanics.

So, I decided to continue the project. But the word was generated with tons of rigid bodies and triggers making some of the detection unreliable and slow.
Now I've decided to go with a cell based approach instead, allowing for more world manipulation and generation abilities

i've been wanting to get back into game dev a little, even if it's just as a hobby. and I think this is a good fixer upper to start with. I'll release little bits and pieces as time goes on, including little demos, but there is absolutely no planned date to put out the full game.
I do streams occasionally and I might cover some of the games development here https://www.twitch.tv/eliasdoesathing_
Have a pleasant existence!
