Some more *canon!* informations bout 'em:
Mai, Faris and their squad aren't from the dimension where the game is there, they are actually 21st century people that travelled (through dimension, not time) to investigate the game. In the dimension it's already the future, which means the game is abandoned like 100+ years ago in that universe and their 2120's timeline is actually the present day (2020's) in Faris' universe.
So they allowed the country to participate. Europeans and (former) Eurovision fans, what now?
