One day, I accidentally deleted it from my PC, thinking it was lost forever. Thankfully, I managed to recover a compressed version of it from Steam, which, at the time, felt better than nothing.

For years, I used that crappy, compressed version across every platform I was on.

To try and hide its poor quality, I even attempted to upscale it with a software, which... well, it was only slightly better, I guess...? who am I kidding It still looks like crap.

Today, however, a revelation happened! It turns out the original, full, uncropped, HD image had been sitting on my Steam profile this entire time. My younger self, surprisingly, was smart enough to have uploaded the screenshot publicly. When I first accidentally deleted it, I checked my GMod screenshots folder, but it wasn't there. It never occurred to me to check my uploaded screenshots on my Steam profile.

I discovered this today when one of my friends was making a shitpost that featured my profile, using the full, uncropped HD image. Naturally, I asked if they'd seriously had it this whole time. Their response? It had been on my profile all along, and I just didn't know it.

Well, as you can probably tell, my profile has now been updated! I can finally ditch that old, compressed PNG and proudly display the real, aesthetic Malos profile picture. Here it is in all its glory:
