I have to be honest about something:


This "game" is really difficult for me to make. Not programming wise (despite this being my first time programming), but idea wise.

You see, the concept of Psykid is something I have no concrete ideas for. They are more just scatterbrained random things that I think would be cool. Despite this, I am extremely attached to this idea of "Psykid" as a whole. Too attached, in fact. I think that is what is stopping me from making any progress at all.

I want it to be perfect, and I know that is a very bad thing to want your game to be, especially your first one. I am so attached to this idea and the (two) characters I have created so far that I am far too worried about the game being perfect, even after cutting back.

Originally, I wanted to make a game that was basically a mashup between Wario Land 4 and Mega Man for this, but I knew that would be way beyond my current skills.

Basically what I am saying is, this game is being held back by my obsession with perfection.

So what am I going to do with this project?

Well, let me tell you what I am not going to do:

I am NOT canceling it.

At least, not right now.

I want this, really want this, to become something that I can look back on and be proud of in the future. But I just don't believe I have the capability to do that yet.

So instead, I will put this project on indefinite hold.

I don't know when or if I will return to it, but instead, I will make a game with a much simpler scope in its place.

I'm sorry if anyone is disapointed by this, but I just don't think I am ready for this game yet. I don't think this game is ready for me yet.

TLDR; I am putting this game on an indefinite hiatus to make a game that will be less taxing on me.

I am actually working on this holy crap guys!!! (Extremely early wip (also I changed the player sprites to match with the art for the ingame cutscenes I am planning).

Wario Land 4 styled Mario and Luigi, with a Waluigi that's currently unfinished because I got frustrated with him. Feel free to add onto this I guess.
