Yea I'm actually going to buy a pet tortoise next year and I'm saving money to buy everything they need to live a great life since my parents probably say your pet your problem and I don't want my Pookie Wookie to suffer because of my parents...

The reason why a tortoise and not any other animal is that they live a long long life, sometimes longer than humans...so I'm forced to take care of myself in order to take care of them...win win you know?...my only concerns are my little brother who has a tendency for doing anything he can just to piss others off and I need to be really careful... second is that I'm not sure if there is a vet dedicated to reptiles near me and that can be a big problem if I want to give them check ups...third... mostly I leave home for two days on the weekends and go to my grandparents house, and even tho I know tortoises can go at most ten days without anyone around them I can't help but be concerned...the reason why I don't want to take it with me is that tortoises don't really like changes in their environment and it can cause stress for them... maybe once a month is okay but every week is really not healthy for them

I hope we can get along together and I'm looking forward to it :)
