Trigger Warning: Mentions of pet death

Hey everyone. I know this game introduced a lot of new people to the series and I want to make it clear that this post is about my real life pet rabbit, not the character.

I was informed by my father today that my elderly rabbit and companion for years, Hoppel, died a week ago at the age of 11 after a long and fulfilling life.

To anyone who doesn't know, I'm no longer the caretaker of my pet rabbits ever since I moved away from my father. I'm not actively in contact with him and only found out today. Hoppel lived for many many years and has given both me and my family a lot of good memories.

My parents gave me the responsibility of looking after the two when I was just four years old. Of course I had their help, but they were a lesson for my younger self to care for and cherish animals, and treat them well.

His adoptive brother Schnuffel (you might know him as Sniff) lives on as of today, though he's very lonely. Hopefully he will reunite with his brother soon.

Hoppel has helped me through many hardships and acted as my emotional support for many years. He's made me laugh, made me happy, and made me realize that life is short, and needs to be valued.

Rest in peace Hoppel. We'll love you forever.
