that's something already. thank fucking god my dad's an absolute fanatic of windows 7 pcs and has about twenty spares lying around

i give up. literally the one thing left for me to do is replacing that piece of shit pc's motherboard and drive with the ones from my laptop, which i'm sure as fuck not doing
