I'm Back! (Also Regarding the UCN II Demo and other Updates)


So yes I am finally back from my break, and will finally be getting back to work on the development of UCN II, Huzzah! Anyways it’s been a long while since I have posted onto this page, so in return I believe that another MEGA UPDATE is in order for UCN II but more regarding the future of development of this game and what’s going to happen in the next few months in general relating to it as well. So let’s begin this MEGA UPDATE!

The UCN II Demo

Alrighty, so it seems like the reception on the demo seems pretty mixed as a whole which honestly I don’t mind one bit since there are definitely problems even I wanted to fix before releasing the demo, heck let alone the full game. Definitely one of the biggest problems with the demo is the big amount of lag which is a definite priority I will be trying my hardest to fix by the time the full game releases so that way the gameplay can be smooth as can be!(Hopefully)

Also there were some minor problems that can be fixed in no time flat such as some jumpscares with unnecessary leftover colors that weren’t supposed to be there in the first place. I hope and pray that I can remember something as simple as that, for all of you wonderful people!

In conclusion for this segment, I may need to do a bit of back tracking in developing and rebuild certain areas, but I hope it will all be worth it in the end to make UCN II as fun as possible. :)

New Things!

Once I am done with all the customiszable characters in UCN II and fixing most of the problems in the main game, I’ll be taking the time to make new things for the game! Such as…

  • New Challenges! Selected by me in the discord server so be sure to join in if you have a challenge suggestion.

  • Secrets! Heck there are some already within the demo, so you can experiment if you wish.

  • Cutscenes! Not gonna say what they are yet though, still in the planning phases for the story.

  • Possible Minigames and Possible Guest Star Characters! I have been thinking about putting these kind of concepts to good use to help out in 36/20 Mode, although I will do another devlog dedicated to this topic if I do decide to start building on these kind of concepts, so stay tuned if that happens ;)

Another Possibly Major Announcement

So… PAX East! Yup, I am heading to PAX East on Thursday March 28th and Sunday March 31st since I enjoyed it so much last year so if you happen to see me there, feel free to say hi and talk to me if you want! Though fair warning I maybe a little shy, but I will definitely be friendly so don’t you worry about anything. :) I may do another post regarding PAX as well so also stay tuned!

The Next Few Months

Obviously I will be working on UCN II throughout these next few months starting today, although production may be slower than usual but it will be as constant as possible as well. The reason being that I will be very, very busy throughout the next few months so I won’t be able to be as hard working on the game like how I was in 2018. But nevertheless, I will be done with the game by sometime in 2019 most likely!

The Future of Game Designing for Me

I may take a little hiatus from Game developing to settle for my next project after the full release of UCN II since it’s one of the biggest projects I believe I have ever worked on, I will definitely do another post on this page regarding this topic as well as what I am feeling more in detail a few days after the full game has been released. However, I can say this for certain… If UCN II does fairly well then let’s just say another game by yours truly will be coming as soon as I decide which of the many, many ideas in my head I will focus on.

Conclusion

So now that I am back to producing, I’ll be more busy than I ever was previously so I am going to get back to work, both polishing old gameplay problems, adding new mechanics, and other things as well. So in the words of William Afton, “I always come back” and I will see you wonderful peeps in the next post!
