Satanism comes with 2 different categories.
Atheistic, and Theistic - alike many religions.
Atheistic; One does NOT believe in any gods or dieties, and see's themselves as their own god. A popular quote reguarding that is : "Hail to thyself. For I am my own master. I am my own god. I need no shepard. For I am not a sheep." Atheistic isn't worshipping Satan. It's worshipping yourself over others, putting yourself first and seeing yourself as your own god.
Theistic; Theistic is where one worships deities, but also themselves. The main goal of Satanism is for free will, and helping one see themself as a person who matters. Theistic is believing in deities and worshipping them, but also practicing worshipping themselves. For example, I am a Theistic Satanist, and I worship Satanas, Lucifer, and Baphomet.
