I'm not dead + Dev timelapse

Hello everyone!

I just want to start out by saying that I haven’t been working on the game as much as I had been hoping to. But I am going to pick up the development again, as I have updated the game to Unity 5. I said that I wasn’t going to update to Unity 5 until the game was finished, but I have been working with Unity 5 in the last few months and I actually find it difficult to work with Unity 4 now. As well as that, I updated the project as a test and it went over to U5 a lot better than I thought it would, so I can continue developing the game without much debugging required.

Anyway, I’ve decided to redesign the UI and HUD of the game with the new Unity UI. I have done the loading screen, and today I started redesigning the title screen. So, I decided to throw together a timelapse video for all you guys. This video is about and hour and a half of work condensed into 10 minutes. Hopefully it will give you guys a glimpse into the process of creating the game.

You can watch the video here

There’s also lots more I’m going to do with the help of Unity 5! Here’s some of the new stuff I have planned:

  • Replacing the animatronic player models with EverythingAnimations’ ones

  • Replacing the movement controller, which will support crouching and way better animations

  • Replacing the cars with better physics (this is already done btw)

  • Complete rewrite of the civilian AI

Hopefully these changes will make the game a much for fun and enjoyable experience for all of you! Thank you so much for supporting the game and showing your best interest. I’m hoping to get a new demo out when I’ve done most of these things :)

Thanks!
Romejanic

P.S. In 10 days, After Hours will be 1 year old :)
