I mentioned this in a YT comment reply but for those wondering why this game isn't named after the year it takes place in, heres why:

Each rewritten game will be named after the lore event it focuses on. In FNAF Rewritten: '87 the whole game is about what led up to the bite of '87 and the aftermath of it. FNAF Rewritten: Missing Children is not FNAF Rewritten: '23 because the year is irrelevant to the main focus of this game. This game will tell the story of what happened during the missing children incident as Mike uses this information to try to bring everything to an end.
