I must be seeing things . . .

In the basement deep, where shadows creep, Lurks a friendly dog, in silence it keeps. White as snow, with eyes so wide, Red lips dripping, where secrets hide.

Red Velvet cake, a crimson lake, On lips that curl, a haunting take. Long stretchy arms that twist and wind, Pointy fingers sharp, thin and unkind.

A cryptid tale in darkness spun, Of a beast that shuns the sun. In the stillness, it waits unseen, A nightmare born from the depths between.
