I don't even know what I'm doing. None of the comics I made today made sense or were planned out or were even funny. I'm doing it out of obligation and I don't want to ruin my, as of recent, good streak of comics I'm proud of.

Or worse suffer some sort of pressure fueled creative drought.

You all deserve better. I can still come up with good ideas, but not on the spot.

The one page four panel comics are the hardest to make, which might sound stupid because it kind of is. Multi page stories are easy to pump out for like 4 hours straight because I can do whatever I want without being limited to one page. That's why some pages don't even have a joke, despite this being a "comedy".

I can bullshit as much as I want in multipage stories and no one notices I didn't have an idea from the start. I can't do that for single page comics.

I'm good at setting up the foul panel format in my head WHEN I HAVE AN IDEA. When I don't it makes no damn sense like that balloon animal one. Why tf did their head pop? I don't know, because I didn't have a punchline. It only tangentially makes sense after I already made it, which is NOT good writing. Same thing for that "Cockeye the Bountiful" comic. Who is that? I just have "Cockeye the Bountiful" written on my idea pad with no context.

I have a lot of ideas for multipage stories, but I don't like doing them as much because they are so easy. They don't challenge me creatively at all. I also feel like I rely to heavily on the following tropes:

-Random pages not related to the story that is only slightly thematically relevant.

-Focusing too much on """lore"""" no one gives a shit about.

-Using / creating minor characters before deciding their personalities.

-Making the bad guy the most sympathetic for some moronic reason.

-Over reliance on Spencer + Sisparilla

-Totally forgetting about some characters (Sasha, Konskk, Barry, etc)

-Not even trying on backgrounds

-Over reliance on Nelly + Zillah (Just kidding, I love them)

-"the joke is sex"

-"the joke is violence"

I know I'm being too hard on myself and am not being totally rational, but no one else is calling me out when I post cringe so I have to police myself.
