I often wish Gamejolt worked like every other social media and you could reblog/retweet posts.

Like, its such a common thing for social medias that the fact that its not on Gamejolt is still massively confusing

Pictures are ideas for looks!! (even if ugly

Here's a list of things as to why Reposts/Reblogs would be nice to have on Gamejolt, in case it wasn't obvious:

  1. Being able to repost stuff always gives a sense of connection. When other people can repost your stuff it gives a bigger sense of "Woah, they must've really liked it if they showed it to their followers!"

  2. It allows for better ways for people to grow their community. As of right now, getting followers and attention equals to just making posts in communities and praying the weird algorythm Gamejolt has takes a liking to you. With a repost/reblog feature, people would be able to feature you much easier than the lame ass posting a URL, allowing you for a much better growth.

  3. If you're working on something with someone and they make a post in regards to it, maybe a sneak peak or an update log, and you wish to show it to your fans, you would be able to repost it and go "Look at what's cookin!"

  4. It's a much more effective way as a creator to know that people genuinely really like your stuff. If someone reposts your stuff, you know for certain that an art piece of yours was very good, and you know that people liked it.

  5. It's just a very basic thing for a social media to have, which is what Gamejolt, for years, has been attempting to become.

That being said, if it ever gets added, I hope they add a specific section to a profile to only see only posts made by the person and avoid all the reposts; mainly for whenever you want to see a specific persons art without scrolling through tons of reposted art, or wanna find a specific post by someone who reposts a ton.

Hope people like this idea, it was fun to make.

Let me know what you think of this idea in the comments, I'd be glad to have a discussion with someone about it!!

Alright, bye!
