[CONNECTION STARTED]
At the beginning, we literally said: "Hey, this camera is odd!" and "Oh? Murdered children? Is there a link somewhere?" And we just created a community that grew so much we helped Scott through a tough part of his life. And that's beautiful to me: theorizing about a game that was supposed to be the very last one developed by Scott just opened a world that transcended Internet and his life.
I may be a fan "just" since FNaF 3-4, and I may neither liked the recent games nor the movie, I remain proud of what this community and this franchise achieved during this whole decade, from the beginning to now.
Although I didn't liked Security Breach, I was astonished to see how many new people (music artists, theorists,...) just came in this community and popped out of nowhere, just like at its beginning.
Although I was not conquered by the movie, it just grossed so much money at its box office that it allowed video game adaptation to be more recognized, that it allowed to open a gate so that other aspiring creators could show their work to the entire world.
When I see all of these fan-arts, fangames and other inspired love letters to Scott, I think that this wonderful universe has barely just opened its door and, I'm sure, will never be shut anymore. If Scott is happy about what he is doing on his franchise, I am happy too. Because, after all, every time I think about it:
Without FNaF, I wouldn't have liked horror genre.
Without FNaF, I wouldn't have liked the idea of making games.
Without FNaF, I wouldn't have discovered such talented music artists, such as TLT or CG5.
Without FNaF, I wouldn't have been the man I am today.
Good thing to remember, indeed.
Happy 10th year anniversary, Five Nights at Freddy's!
Thank you, Scott. For everything, and for what you are cooking for us next.
Long live FNaF, long live Scott!
