I've been working on DMD for 2-3 years now (although it's progress has only been documented on gamejolt for around 1)
and it's insane how far the game has come
Sure, it may not even have up to the first actual boss battle yet
but it started out as some default RPG Maker VX Ace Light assets and badly written dialogue, plus a few lazily put together fights on my step-mom's computer from when she was a computer which would instantly die if it was unplugged from the charger
To a game with original battle mechanicals, a relatively distinctive art-style, characters who seem to have actual emotions, and a completely original soundtrack
