I've now decided: I'm sticking with the new soundtrack


So, the next version of the game, which will be out as soon as I’ve implemented the Mining Drone’s weapon, will include the new versions of the musics that I just added to the soundtrack. This is because I’ve already received feedback on them from sources outside of GameJolt, and they were pretty universally considered an improvement.

Oh, and the new version will also feature an improved art-style. Have a look at it in this screenshot:

The backgrounds haven’t been changed, but then again, those kinda already looked a bit more like the new style. I may re-do the Boxing Drone’s background, but I think the Mining Drone’s background already more-or-less fits in, given that I revamped it pretty recently anyways (before the stage was even released to the public).

Looking forwards to seeing what you guys think of the new version once it’s out!

Currently trying to make the out of bounds areas in the upcoming (and eventual, please have a bit of patience, this may take a while) update look a bit cooler via unusual skyboxes and using a fade to transparency instead of a fade to black for fog.

I can't promise any kind of release date on anything here. Just can say I'm trying to get some more progress done now. Might actually release this update some day... maybe...
