The writing has its fair share of holes (and not because of any lore bs either), for instance the main subplot of Mike losing custody of Abby just... drops entirely after the break in. It feels like they just didn't know what to do after and kind of just abruptly tied up the subplot near the end.

The other dropped subplot seemed to be a romance between Mike and Vanessa, it seems to drop early on only for it to suddenly resolve itself at the end of the movie too. I don't know how earned it was because Vanessa was a huge pain outside of Night 2. (Especially when she chewed out Mike for the break in happening during the day)

Though if she was right about one thing, it's that Mike sleeps so much (funny enough, the night after she yells at him for sleeping, he decides to just... go to sleep again? LOL). Now, I'm not saying he should've been awake throughout the entire movie, but very much tone down the dream sequences Mike constantly relives through (it happens around 6 times throughout the entire movie)

There is more things that are just kind of... weird if you think about it for too much, but I think those are for another time.

Now, on a more positive note regarding these scenes, two distinctly stuck out in my head: the first one was the pillow fort montage (which was really cute if not cheesy), I feel it did good in giving the animatronics character even if Bonnie acted like he was in a Marvel movie. The other was the climax with William Afton's twist reveal. Now that was awesome... only to become unintentionally funny when he decided to fist fight Mike.

Another positive thing is that there's no shortage of easter eggs throughout the movie. I'm sure theres ones that are obvious (like Mathiel Patthew making a cameo) and others that aren't (like one of the thugs having the Midnight Motorist minigame as his shirt). If you're a fan then you're gonna love finding them out.

All in all, it's pretty average for a video game adaptation and it definitely could've been better.

I hate giving out ratings but if you put a gun to my head and asked me to rate this movie, I'd say around... either a 5 or 6 out of ten. Do atleast give it a watch though, you might enjoy it^^
