So...
I have a boyfriend, but I'm a man.
That... Could sound normal, and it is.
But... Not for my parents or my schoolmates.
----------------------------------------------------------
In school (specificaly my grade) the people is really homophobic, always joking about gay and lesbian people like it's the worst thing in the world.
There's also a guy who was our friend, and although he knew this had to be a secret, spilled it to everyone in my grade. I hid the situation saying it was a rumor created by him to make us suffer a little bit and got away from them.
But, the good thing is that in school I have friends that support me, teachers that appreciate me and could give me a hand, and also in case the things get serious, I can look for help with the psychologist or the coordinator (kind of principal).
------------------------------------------------------------
But, at home the story is different, because my parents don't really get along with the LGTB+ community and topic. There are constant jokes and commentaries about the topic that make me feel awkward.
The thing is, that I had something (nothing official) with my boyfriend before, and when they found out... They weren't happy.
My dad tried to convince me I was confused and that it was "a way to fill an emotional void" which is not. And my mom? The next day she called and scolded me, like seriously, asking me for a better behavior and even raising her voice.
When the thing got slightly serious, I stayed quiet and they didn't know anything.
When the snut spilled the tea my parents had a meeting at school (which wanted to show support to me), but I told them it also was a rumor from this idiot.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I'm afraid that if my parents find out their reaction won't be positive, they could get mad, and I don't want to let my mind wander further...
--------------------------------------------------------------
So yeh, that's the thing.
If you read everything I'm really grateful, and if you have any possible advice you can tell me, but even a like is a small sign of understanding (not begging for likes, I don't really care about them).
