Be honest with yourself, is the time you spend on social media/youtube really.. meaningful? Tell me what was the last tiktok you saw yesterday, go on, comment, or go in private. I know you cant remember, because its all less than one minute.

The thing about the doom scrool is that it was made to keep you stuck inside it. You scrool endlessly, yet there is no purpose, no point, the next thing that appears is completly random. Its not like normal youtube, where you can search for what you want, with atleast some purpose, and yet, everything stimulates our brain.

Instagram, tik tok, youtube, twitter, everything.

You get so addicted to the instant dopamine that it becomes compulsive, to just have that need to check your phone every 5 seconds.

It gets harder to discipline yourself, and thats why it becomes even more uncontrolable.

"Oh i have (x) due to tommorow"

What do you do? See Instagram reels. Dont worry, im not judging, because even i cant control it fully. Its only natural for us to be the slaves of dopamine, specially such that is easy to get. And i mean this not only for, yknow, normal sites n stuff, but also for adult content, because its twice as addictive.

So how should you deal with it? Discipline.

Start with this, try to spend most of your day doing stuff (reading, drawing (its ok to use your phone for drawing, but FORCE yourself to actually only use it for reference), gaming, studyig), or if you want a Challenge, try doing nothing but just observing the nature all day. Yes, time passes slowly, but isnt that nicer? Have you not felt how horrible it is to have time running, and in the blink of an eye is bedtime.

Any type of addictive media is dangerous for your health, so please, beware of what you use, how you use it, and specially who you talk to, because nobody knows whos really talking with you.

I remember that a few years ago i couldnt draw things small, so i always had to put some duct tape to connect more papers to the drawing, and plus i didnt even know how to properly color, However its interesting to look at it
