a letter to gamejolt
i really wanna bring up how shitty this site is, the fact that a fucking ai trained to handle moderation can't see a pedophile or believes a post about something completely unrelated is fucking bullying is so unbelievably stupid, plus ai has been proven to be unreliable as shit as of recent, cough cough, roblox, cough cough.
the greed of this site is so FUCKING unbelievable, making a profile frame with a PAID CURRENCY that costs $300 or so dollars is super fucking scummy.
this site is not fucking safe in the slightest, I was groomed here and I know many others were, and what has gamejolt done about it? jack and shit.
this site is also one where they will actively defend someone who's been in a lot of controversy and they won't fucking acknowledge it at all, not to mention the whole fucking fnaf scene here is why the site was popular.
the site is a fucking nightmare at this point, i like the creators feature but EVERY THIRD GOD DAMN QUEST HERE IS TO FOLLOW A CREATOR, A MOSTLY POPULAR CREATOR MIND YOU.
oh what else maybe getting a trophy by SPENDING MONEY?! The DDLC quest here was by far the WORST quest by far. The fact you had to spend REAL MONEY to get the trophy is fucking absurd.
oh and did i mention some of the avatar frames, post profiles and stickers are probably illegal?? Check the DDLC and TWD twitters, neither posted ANYTHING about the stuff for their respective communities and I FUCKING DOUBT they actually agreed. TWD is a major TV show on AMC and DDLC has been pretty radio silent. And mind you again, GameJolt is a SMALL SITE.
Going back to the creators, despite the age you have to be and how popular you have to be, there's multiple creators below 18 and below 1000 followers. Contradicts that so much.
ik that firesides would've bankrupt them but jesus fucking christ that was some of the best time on that site and where's everyone now? Either account deleted or left gamejolt.
90% of the accounts I follow don't post anymore either, which I think firesides being removed had a fucking play in that.
despite being a site to hold your games, it has a social app? Its just Steam and Twitter's unwanted child especially with how many fucking controversies have happened on this site and only Twitter wanted custody.
what does this mean for my game? its not gonna be on gamejolt that much is fuckin sure. will probably be on itch if ANYTHING.
