I pretty much can’t fix it, it’s the client’s problem, it might work if a new client update comes out but, there are two solutions for this problem :
1. Recommended : Download the game from your browser.

2. : Run the game manually, if you know where your GJ games are located then you’ll find the game easily ( And make a shortcut on your desktop to run it faster ). But if you don’t then, it’s in the AppData folder.
I only know one way to get to the appdata folder but it’s only for Win7, if you don’t have Win7 then google some solutions. But if you do, then follow these steps :
I - Open the start menu and on the search bar, search %APPDATA%.
You will see a folder pop up in the results called “Roaming”. Click it, then on the address bar, click AppData, then Local, then game-jolt-client, then Games and finally click on the folder that has the name of the game. Then run this file : wecmd.exe
And don’t forget to make a shortcut to easily run the game.
