So we got to the point where I started making a 3D game.
And it was surprisingly easy. Well, practically, at the very beginning of the development of the 3d game prototype, I had 12 fps. Now the problem has been fixed and I already have 60 fps.
And now I'm convinced that making 3d games is much easier than 2d.I created this test map in 15 minutes, there were no problems with trees either. And besides, I calmly connected the collision.
Well, it's not straight 3d.This is pseudo 3d (Well, the father-in-law looks like a 3d game, but in fact 2d).So I didn't change the game much. All the content that was in it has remained. It just doesn't show up.
There are no problems with the shadows and light engine either.
It reminds me of IFSCL (a fan game based on the Lyoko Code). Her path started with a 2d engine, and now it's a high-quality 3d game.
And I also learned how to import the obj file (I hope I wrote it correctly). That is, voxel models. Therefore, the locations will be filled not only with 2d sprites superimposed on a 3d object. I'll say right away, I've never been able to create 3d models in programs like Blender. Therefore, do not expect anything fantastic from me in this regard.
Ironically, two days ago I wrote that I had made huge progress in the schedule :)
