Cobalt Moon Prologue

Important update, please read:

In light of the recent updates to Unity's pricing policies, I will no longer be developing using their software. That means that Cobalt Moon as you've seen it will not be finished. I will release what I have, renamed "Cobalt Moon Prologue", and I will be starting over from the beginning with something simpler, using 2D graphics.

Unity's policy changes aren't the only reason for this. This project ended up being far more ambitious than I could handle as a solo dev. Even if I were to reuse all the 3D models, the animations are all Unity store assets, so I couldn't use them on a different engine. I realized a while ago that I bit off more than I could chew, but only now am I doing what's best for me.

I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to seeing the Cobalt Moon that I showed off in the demo. But even if Unity hadn't made this change, it wasn't feasible for me to finish a full game of this caliber. Thank you for all your support and keep an eye out for my future projects.

Cobalt Moon will shine down again.

Got the Tanager battle set up just in time for #ScreenshotSaturday

Man, this looks like a crazy tough battle! How is anyone supposed to beat him?

Still working on the assets for the Mission 2 intro, but I wanted to show off a new feature that one of my testers suggested: making it so that certain enemy attacks can only be interrupted by a heavy attack. Adds a bit of strategy to combat

One feature I forgot to include in the demo is a difficulty selector. Whoops

The culmination of all that sprite work I've been doing, all for a six second clip

I've got the Al battle finalized. The one thing I didn't get footage of is his one-two combo

Another "mini boss" for Mission 2. Johnny is the keyboardist for Instinct, and an insufferable vlogger

Here's my submission for the 2025 #BadArtChallenge. Cobalt Moon never looked better

Very proud of how this tail whip animation turned out

The entire intro cutscene for mission 1

Made a nice little informational window for when you pick up certain items
