In the world of music, #MyFirstFave is unquestionably "Weird Al" Yankovic. (He was also the first comedy creator I got obsessed with.)

Despite American Pie being iconic on its own, I definitely memorized The Saga Begins LONG before I ever heard the original. It's truly wild how Al's career has outlasted so many of the artists he parodied when his career started.

Both of my favorite concert experiences were also at Weird Al shows.

The first was at a 501st Stormtrooper Legion party at Star Wars Celebration Orlando. Weird Al kept playing with the crowd by pretending he was about to play one of his (two) Star Wars song and then going into one of his originals instead. (Which I loved because getting to hear some deeper cuts ruled. some folks were less excited haha.)

The second was on his Strings Attached tour where Al was backed by an ACTUAL orchestra. He goes HARD and is an amazing showman. His concerts are a full experience.

One of my favorite retro games was Freelancer. It felt really cool getting to fly a spaceship around an open world. #RetroGameDay
